Genitically modifying male mosquitos ( only the females bite ) so that any resulting offspring of the male will only be male mosquitos, hopefully decimating the species in the area in short order. Opponents of this, say that this type of science isn't well known, and should be highly cautioned before releasing at scale ( 2.4 billion modified mosquitors are slated for this upcoming release ).
