To keep up with such a demand, juxtaposed with a significantly lower amount of their own fish stock, Chinese vessels are now transversing the globe to fish in other country's waters. Which comes up to more than 90 countries, and fishing a larger area than any other fleet. Chinese fleet for distant-water fishing is a massive 17,000 boats, for comparison the US only has 300.
